Company Background

Globally recognised MRO Malaysia Airlines Berhad Engineering Services (MAB Engineering or MABES) is an internationally recognized Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) and is a wholly owned entity of the Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), providing aircraft maintenance to MAG fleet and third-party customers. Under MAG's new target operating model implemented earlier in the year, MAB Engineering sit under the purview of the Aviation Services profit center, which is responsible for overseeing the cargo, ground handling, and MRO operations, as well as the training academy for the Group.

The move aligns with MAG's Long-Term Business Plan 2.0 (LTBP2.0) as it seeks to fulfil its aspirations to become Asia's leading travel and aviation services group, focused on delivering highly customized, end-to-end travel solutions. With a renewed focus on growth and innovation, MAB Engineering will continue strengthening its capabilities in providing third-party MRO services while maintaining the highest levels of quality and safety. In addition to providing aircraft line and base maintenance to its fleet, consisting of Malaysia Airlines, Firefly and Amal aircraft, MAB Engineering has garnered trust from international clientele comprising both airlines and aircraft lessors. It is also actively considering expanding its production lines within the next two years. MAB Engineering holds 21 regulatory certifications covering Malaysia, Europe, and the United States.
